Gainsborough fell to a defeat in Ashton, as a frightful display secured Trinity's third successive league defeat. Manager Steve Housham was enforced to make three changes to the side which defeated Wrexham in the FA Cup last time out. Two were down to injuries picked up in the week with both Jonathan D'Laryea and Matt Wilson sweating on their fitness ahead of the big game with Shrewsbury Town.

Gainsborough produced the ultimate smash and grab victory to upset the odds and defeat National League side Wrexham at the Racecourse Ground. A Nathan Jarman free kick seventeen minutes from time and superb defending enabled Trinity to put their name in the hat for Monday Night's FA Cup draw.

A second half comeback was not enough for the Blues, as they came from two goals down to level, before a late Pablo Mills winner for Brackley Town. The goal was the second of the game and bookended the match for the defender as the Saints moved to within two points of the Blues after starting the day in the relegation zone.

Gainsborough suffered their first defeat in three games as their winning streak came to an end at the hands of Stockport County. A second half Micah Evans header was enough to take the points back to Edgeley Park as both sides missed several decent chances. The Blues started the game by naming the same lineup which defeated Boston and Gloucester by two goals.
