Defender Zak Mills met a free kick at the far post to give the Pilgrims their first goal and victory over Trinity in three meetings this season. Gainsborough’s three game winning streak came to end on Saturday at the hands of Worcester City. A goal in each half for the hosts condemned the Blues to their first defeat since November after wins against Chorley, Harrogate and Hednesford. Gainsborough manager Steve Housham kept the same team which defeated Hednesford last time out as the Blues aimed to extend their winning run in the league to four matches.

Nathan Jarman and Stephen Brogan were both sent off in the second half within the space of a minute as Ferriby bagged two goals in each half.
