Trinity will remember Leamington well from the opening game of the season. Paul Holleran’s side visited the Martin & Co Arena back in August, and were able to pull off a shock result. In front of just over six-hundred fans, Ahmed Obeng stunned the home side with two goals to secure their first win of the season.

Trinity travel down to Alfreton Town on Saturday hoping to bounce back from the mid-week clash and gain some momentum going into another hectic month. Alfreton Town currently sit in eleventh place in the National League North Table, and after a steady start to the season, will look to be pushing on and reaching the play-offs. Winning against Curzon Ashton and Leamington, whilst drawing away to Nuneaton, Alfreton have had a positive run and will hope to extend that on Saturday.

Gainsborough Trinity earned a hard-fought point against National League North new boys Spennymoor Town, drawing 1-1 at Brewery Field. Moors’ captain Joseph Tait had a real Jekyll & Hyde performance scoring an own goal and then the equaliser.
