It has been a busy Transfer Deadline Day for Trinity Interim Manager, Liam King. A pair of comings and goings can now be confirmed following the expiration of 5pm deadline.

Returning to the club is utility man Thomas Davie, who has most recently spent time at Evo-Stik Premier Division rivals Scarborough Athletic. Tom is no stranger to the Martin & Co Arena and will quickly look to re-establish himself in the hearts and minds of the Trinity faithful. "Football hasn’t really been the kindest to me since Lee Sinnott let me go at the end of last season, but I am buzzing to get back on the field."

For the second away game on the trot Trinity travelled in impressive numbers and backed by over 150 Holy Blues, Liam's loco pulled out of yet another station with all three precious points. Patience and perseverance proved a virtue as triumphant Trinity marched two points closer to fourth and four points clear of Scarborough.

The Blues and the travelling faithful can feel particularly hard done by after this one. They deservedly led at half-time and looked good for a point until a 90th minute penalty denied a well deserved point at a high flying side who had tanned our Hyde in our own back yard in February.

Trinity went for the win with a bullish 4-4-2 including new beast of a Blue, Liam Hughes up front with Worsfold. Tom Davie slotted in at left back with Sheffield Wednesday wing wizard Ben Hughes and goal machine Reeves both on the bench.

Gainsborough have it all to do next week at Warrington on a day that could have seen us move to within two points of fourth placed Nantwich who could only draw 1-1 against lowly local rivals Grantham.

On a day of might-have-beens The Holy Blues were mugged by Marine who put in a professional performance to achieve a smash and grab win over a Trinity side that just needed a little luck in terms of chances and dare we say decisions if the vocal Carlisle choir's opinions are anything to go by.

The news from Ferriby is not good and our thoughts go out to them following the failure of their survival bid. This means that all results will be expunged from the League table.

South Shields are the biggest beneficiaries having had their 0-3 away embarrassment expunged from the history books. Thus they leapfrog Warrington who have lost 6 points and nine goals from the goal difference.

Stability Assured as King Remains on Throne!

Liam King and Ross Hannah have this weekend been given the green light to continue as the interim management team, until the end of the season. The club has been very impressed with the calibre of applicants, despite not formerly advertising the vacancy, but it was felt the impact Liam and Ross have had, since taking over following the dismissal of Lee Sinnott and John Reed, couldn't go unnoticed.
